5 Fun Entertainment Ideas For Your Oscars Party

It is almost time for the best people in the movie industry to gather up and get credit for the work they have done in the past year. The Oscars ceremony takes place on the 2nd of March this year and it will be another magnificent night of wonder. If you are hosting up your own Oscars party it is a nice idea to have some entertainment before you all start watching the show. Here are five nice ideas to keep in mind.

1. Guess The Winners

It is a nice idea to start your party by having your guests guess the winners in some of the main categories. You can do this at the start and then seal the answers away. At the end of the show go through all the answers and see who got most of the categories correct.

You can provide the winner with a small movie-themed gift. For example, it can be a DVD, some popping corn and a bottle of wine. This adds a nice excitement for watching the award ceremony.

2. Organise A Quiz

You could also organise a fun quiz for your guests. This could be anything to do with movies and could have a variety of different types of questions. For example, you could make them work in pairs and have simple questions as well as some Charades type of puzzles.

It is something really fun to do at the start and will test everyone’s movie knowledge. Again, you can organise just a little gift for the best team if you want.

3. Get Them Sharing

If you are having something to eat it might be a nice idea to get everyone talking about his or her favourite movies. You could go around the room and ask everyone to name their favourite movie and why it is so important to them. This is a nice way to make sure everyone gets to know each other a little bit better.

4. Welcome Them With Fireworks And A Red Carpet

It would also be a nice idea to give your guests a warm welcome for the party. For example, you can create a small red carpet outside your flat and have a few fireworks ready to wow the guests.

You can use an old sheet as the red carpet. Just place some stones on either side to guarantee it doesn’t fly away. You can then have a firework for each guest and shoot it while they arrive. You can buy basic fireworks online at FireworksCrazy.co.uk and from other such online retailers.

5. Play The Right Tunes

Naturally, you also want to have some music at your party. For an Oscars party it has to be all about the movie soundtracks. Build your dream movie soundtrack and have it play on the background while you welcome your guests and wait for the show to start.

You can find some inspiration for your soundtrack from this Rolling Stones review, for example. You can even use some of these songs in your quiz if you want.

Laura Peters really loves movies and she is always looking for ways to have more fun with films. She is also really passionate about hosting parties and she loves to find fun ways to surprise her guests.
