If you want to resign from your current job then you must make sure you already have a job waiting for you. If that is not the case then you must not resign no matter how much you dislike the job. You can never predict how long it would take for you to land another job and you would end up losing a lot of money during the entire job hunt. It is never a good feeling to be looking for a job because it is going to take a long time before you get accepted for another job again unless you know someone in another company and you are good friends with that person. If that is not the case then you can just take it easy with your current company first. Of course, you must already have a job offer waiting for you and not just a verbal commitment from one of the human resource officers who interviewed you. If they just told you that you would get hired then that decision may change because the decision is not theirs. The person who would decide your fate with the company is the big boss so you must wait for a job offer that is only awaiting your signature before resigning from your current company. If the big boss is in another country then you have no choice but to wait because they are the one who is in control of the process and not you. You can apply for jobs in other companies all you want but you must remember you would give your current company a 30 day notice before deciding to call it quits. You never know if the company would raise your salary because you are threatening to leave them. You may be such a big asset that they may not be able to live without you.
Realize you are old enough to be independent
It is never a good feeling to not have a current job because you won’t have anything to eat and pay the bills. If you are over the age of 20 then you can’t rely on your parents anymore. You are not a kid anymore so you must learn to be independent. A company can offer you many positions so if the position you want in your current company is filled up then you can always look at other companies and see if it is vacated. You can always call yourself lucky if you are working for a good company. The pay is always good no matter which position you have. Of course, you should always look to move on to the next position until you eventually start your own business. Nobody gets rich by being an employee since you have a lot of things to pay. However, if you are an employer then you have a chance to earn a lot of money. You can start your own company if you think you have what it takes to become a boss.
