Mumbai, which was called Bombay, is the financial capital of India. It enjoys a larger share of millionaires than in the rest of the country put together. For the general population of India, Mumbai is a city with the golden edge, a city where dreams call people from far off and for many those dreams work out. It is almost equivalent to some miracle that Mumbai sees an influx of visitors and aspirants from across the nation. Adding to the marvelousness and glamour of the city is the Bollywood or the Hindi film industry. It is a mammoth cine industry that has employed thousands of people. Mumbai is an essential port on the Arabian Sea and handles some big revenues for the state. It was an essential exchanging base for the East India Company and later of the British. The amazing Victorian structures in the fort area are reminiscent of the pilgrim principle in India. Places of worship and basilicas rub shoulders with sanctuaries and mosques and mirror the religious homogeneity of the city. Main attractions in the Maximum City

Mumbai is a city full of vacation destinations. You can explore them at your own pace or hire a tourist guide to take you around the city. The greater part of the traveler activity is focused in the southern half of the city. South Mumbai has many buildings which are radiant in their Gothic luxury. You can meander through the Prince of Wales Museum, Gateway of India, National Gallery of Modern Art, Colaba Causeway, Crawford Market, Jehangir Art Gallery, and the Taj Mahal Hotel. A little far away the Haji Ali Dargah and Siddhivinayak Temple are some other places of popular tourist interest.

Another place to visit is Colaba. It is Colaba that plays host to the city’s most prominent milestones, the Gateway of India, the Prince of Wales Museum, the Taj Mahal Hotel, etc. The Gateway of India was built in 1911 to honor King George V and Queen Mary who visited India at that time. For the guests who came and left in steamliners, the landmark was the first and last sight of the city. The neighboring Taj Mahal Hotel was built in 1902. Legend has it that Tata raised this landmark as a symbol of welcome to Oriental extravagance and accommodation when he was rejected admission to one of the city’s European hotels just in light of the fact that he was a local. While in Colaba, you can visit noteworthy Prince of Wales Museum which showcases a dazzling accumulation of antiquated and medieval attractions.

The Fort Area is home to the fantastic Gothic Victorian structures, standing as a witness to the riches and influence of the British Empire of the past. Visit the Victoria Terminus (which is known as CST), one of the world’s most amazing railroad stations. The station looks more like a lavishly improved house of prayer than a railroad terminal. At that point there is the St Thomas’ Cathedral which was raised somewhere around 1672 and 1718. Another imperative building in the Fort Area is the Horniman Circle with wonderful arcaded patios.
