One of the most prestigious bars in Kowloon is the Aqua Spirit bar. Considered one of the more pricier places in Kowloon, this bar contains a fantastic view of the city’s landscape as well as overlooking the harbour. For a view like this and for the price this bar charges, it’s worth it. In addition, it’s recommended to book a table by the large windows to view the entire city while sipping a cold glass of wine. Known for its fantastic atmosphere, world class foods of east meets west cuisine and drinks you simply can’t ignore, the Aqua Spirit is the place to go when the sun goes down. You can expect to be delving in many shot glasses before 2 AM! Dress codes are required but are simply dropped once the DJs drop the beat, so to speak.

Ned Kelly’s Last Stand

Considered one of the oldest pubs in Kowloon, Ned Kelly’s Last Stand offers good, live music and mouthwatering foods to choose from. Though, bare in mind the food here is quite pricey but they do have a great selection of drinks to choose from. From jugs of cider to beer or half pints, this place has it all. Happy hour at Ned Kelly’s starts at 9 PM and continues onwards until 1 AM. The pub is best known for its friendly and attentive staff, asking patrons if they want refills. Though, this pub is mainly known for it’s amazing beats played by live bands. For those who want to come and enjoy soothing rhythms while grooving from within, this is a place to consider when coming to Kowloon!

XXX Gallery

Don’t let the name fool you into being something mischievous and ominous. XXX Gallery is a truly, one of a kind bar which is completely laid back and filled with friendly ex-pat hipsters. Don’t expect to find any expensive-looking décor at this laid back pub; expect to find low ceilings and solid concrete walls for a local vibe. If dancing is your thing, every week, international DJs come and display their array of musical mix up talents for all to see and dance to. In addition to feeling like an open bar where everybody is welcomed, XXX Gallery hosts regular film screenings, live music and art exhibitions. But probably this place is best known for bringing your own booze. It may not be classy or sophisticated but this place serves up a great atmosphere to meeting new people!
