Micromax A50 Ninja – Another budgeted Android Smart phone

Android phones and tablets is the latest trend in technology today and there are many new entrants in Android manufacturing. But some big players like Apple have already established their place in the market but it’s meant for only the niche market. Now new term for the Android phones is the “Budget Android phones” – and the new entrants are the manufacturers of the budget android phones and the latest one is the Micromax Android Phone which comes with a dedicated voice recognition feature on its phone called as Dubbed Aisha – which stands for Artificial Intelligence Speech Handset Assistant. Micromax calls its new invention as Micromax A50 ‘Superfone Ninja’’ and this comes at a superb price tag.

Design and Build:

The plastic body with white and silver along its edges with glossy screen of Superfone Ninja is very delicate and flimsy. It has a 3.1-inch display with a resolution of 240 X 320 pixels and there are 3 physical backlit buttons below the screen. The volume rocker and microUSB slot is on the left and a power button on its top along with 3.5mm slot for headphone jack. Micromax A50 Ninja is a dual-SIM phone and has a dual-SIM and a microSD card slot under its hood and is powered with 1200 mAH battery. It’s not a super-thin phone but with 13mm as its width, it fits perfectly in your palm.

Interface:

A50 Ninja is powered by a 650 MHz processor and has 256 MB RAM and 512 MB internal memory though not all of it is accessible to the user. It has an impressive Interface to run the phone on its Gingerbread 2.3.6 processor on-board.

Micromax A50 Ninja review

Media:

This budget Android phone has stock media interface and honestly it’s not treating for eyes but has covered up the lag with a range of enhancements and equalizers and those are fantabulous and it’s fun to listen to music on A50 Ninja with its headphones on.
The display not being great Video playback is also not appreciable and is limited to native formats for its support.

Connectivity:

A50 Ninja is a dual-SIM Card supporting Android Phone with 3G, Bluetooth, WI-Fi and GPS as far as connectivity is concerned. It gives a decent call quality via earpiece and loudspeaker. While browsing full websites text starts appearing warped and is also difficult to scroll and pan through content but WAP sites browsing is not a problem at all. It lacks in flash and special networking apps but the default one are good enough to manage your work.

Camera:

Camera of A50 is not its key feature as it comes with a decent camera of 2 MP and quality standards which gives poor quality videos and pictures.

Battery Life:

Since it’s a dual-SIM phone its 1200 mAH battery is decent enough and is great if in single SIM. It can manage up to 5 hours and 20 minutes of video playback and 3/4th a day for a normal usage.

Misc Apps:

Keeping in mind that A50 Ninja has limited space, Micromax has deliberately not pre-installed a range of apps and the available apps are the only the Google Apps like Gmail, Gtalk, places, etc. AISHA feature is the most liked and interesting feature.

Micormax Ninja A50 Superfone – budgeted Android phone price in India is only Rs.4, 999/- – what a price tag but with features it has does it all for this price tag.
