Last updated on February 28, 2016

Credit goes to Apple’s bar-raising and category defining imaginativeness that this Samsung’s stunning Galaxy Tab 10.1 is existing. This new device leverages the branding of Samsung’s one of the most popular product and simultaneously brings over some similar technology. Galaxy Note 10.1 features Samsung’s S-Pen Stylus – unique feature of the original Galaxy Note, along with a new design, software and its funky form-factor. With its styling design and portability, stunning 720HD display and intuitive interface, Samsung has just delivered the best Android “Honeycomb” tablet on the market. The only reason anybody could hate is because of its not many Samsung Apps, slow in charging and its black cheap looking plastic body.

Design and Display:

With its new design and portability it weighs only 545g and is lighter and slimmer in dimensions giving a perfect feel when in hand and relaxing comfortably among its rivals. They have minimized on connectivity and excluded its USB port, media card slots or any other port which can spoil its sleek looking design and has provided with high bandwidth Bluetooth 3.0 and support for Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n to handle streaming HD content easily. The cheaper looking plastic body instead of a metal back is of course classy and it has the hardware buttons for the on/off button and volume and everything else is navigational with the ultra responsive multitouch interface. It has a bigger 10.1-inch 720HD display with than its competitors with 1280 X 800 resolutions and is the best for enjoying multimedia playback.

Camera:

Nothing so different and unique about Galaxy Tab 10.1. The 5MP camera can produce some nice images outdoor in bright lighting but can perform on point-and-shoot. It has a rear and front camera for video calling and is bundled with Google Talk and Skype can be downloaded. With some auto-focusing issues with lower light situations, video capturing also didn’t fare well and is capable of playback and recording of 1080p Full HD video at 30fps (720p HD@30fps too) giving not very best quality.

Processor and Storage:

Being the best Android Honeycomb model, it is meant for faster multitasking. It had a constant speed and has the ability to re-size widgets and open apps with a pop up thumbnail making it simpler to navigate. Its touch-pad offers 200Hz more on its processor and has 1GHz dual-core ARM Cortex A9 processor which is combined with NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 which can hold through graphically intensive HD apps games like, Galaxy on Fire 2 without breaking a sweat. It also comes with 1GB of memory on it.

Battery:

The 7000 mAH battery can last for up to 9 hours on light use and the only connection is a dock connector that plugs in to a USB port or into an AC Adapter for charging resulting in slow charging.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is DLNA certified and allows to fire media to and from the tablet and other connected devices. It offers Social Hub to manage and Synch all networking leads including MS Exchange ActiveSync along with an e-reader and Music Hub but not a very impressive Samsung’s own Apps store
