One cup all-purpose flour
One cup caster sugar
4 eggs
1 tea spoon baking powder
1/2 tea spoon vanilla essence

Method:

Preheat the oven at 350 F and grease the 9 inch pan and put aside.
Beat the eggs with the electric beater on medium speed until light and fluffy
Beat together butter and caster sugar until sugar dissolve. Now add the beaten eggs and mix well
Fold the flour in the mixture and add vanilla essence and mix well.

You can add nuts and raisins to make a delicious fruity sponge cake
Add half cup of chocolate chip and enjoy and chocolate chip vanilla sponge cake.

Soak the sponge with sweet milk or juice and cover it with frosting of your choice.
