Trekking is an adventurous and thrilling sport that many love to engage in and Coorg is indeed a wonderful place to indulge in this sport. Some of the well-known trekking spots here are Pushpagiri, Tadiandamol, and peak of igguthappa, Brahmagiri and Nishani motte.

Brahmagiri wildlife sanctuary

This sanctuary is located among the Western Ghats and has derived its name from the Brahmagiri Peak, at a height of about 1607m. Tourists from the top will be able to have a fabulous view of the grasslands below. The normal temperature here is around 5-32 degrees. Some of the animals that are found commonly here include the sloth bear, Malabar giant squirrel, nilgiri langur, slender loris, nilgiri marten, bonnet macaque, barking deer and lion tailed macaque.

Nagarahole National Park

This place is said to have derives its name from the innumerous streams that flow here. Established in 1995, it has presently went on to become among the most prominent and popular sanctuaries in entire South India. It also provides the perfect shelter to various types of wild animals such as tigers, rhinos, panthers, elephants, etc. Trousers can have a glimpse of the jungle and the wildlife species here from the elephants back during the guided jungle safaris.
