Geometry- Circles, And Lines

Mathematics can be defined as the science of numbers, shapes, various structures, and equations. Mathematics is a growing field in every way. Be it a future career or one’s higher studies, it plays a significant role. Not only is this subject significant but also is difficult to understand and learn most of the time. This subject has four main branches that cover the whole of mathematics. Geometry is one of those branches that cover the majority part of maths.

This subsection of maths study different shapes, lines, graphs, and other geometrical equations. There are various shapes one can study such as circles, squares or triangles, etc. Studying these shapes is very interesting but complicated. One of these shapes is a circle. A Circle can be explained as a plane surface in a round shape whose each point located above the circumference has an equal distance from the center point. Another geometrical aspect here is a line. A line can be defined as a straight figure with constant thickness with no change which can be extended from any side to anywhere. Now let us learn and study more about the equation of circle and equation of line.

Circle

A circle is a figure with a closed curve that is made from a fixed center point. The distance of the center point is equal to the distance till every point on the circumference of the circle. Different formulas can be used to calculate the area of a circle as well as its perimeter.

In both the formulas, R refers to the radius of a circle, and the value of πis posted as 3.14 or 22/7

Line

A line is not a curved figure or any shape with ends, it is an endless length that extends till anywhere with a constant width. An equation can be called a linear equation or the equation of a line when the degree of the equation is homogeneous or 1. Linear equations can be defined as an equation with one, two, or three variables.

Equation of a circle

The standard equation of a circle is ( x – h )^2 + ( y – k )^2 = r^2, where h and k are the center points of the circle and R remains the radius of the circle. On the other hand, a standard linear equation in one variable can be expressed in the form of Ax + B = 0. The standard linear equation in two variables can be expressed as ax + by + c=0. This basic form is very useful in solving equations with one or two variables.

To conclude, the above explanation was a basic idea about circles and lines and their equations. Geometry is a vast concept that needs regular practice and a good amount of effort. This effort can be promoted by excellent coaching classes which are easily accessible over the internet. Cuemath is an online network that provides classes in math and computer coding. These classes provide you with various advantages such as studying from home and within your comfort zone. The classes are carried out by highly educated and qualified teachers. These teachers give you one-on-one attention and focus on your problems. They also provide valuable content which can be used to improve your results and brush up on your skills.
