Lava Mobiles has launched a brand new entry-level android phone under its IRIS series. This smartphone costs less than INR 4K in the Indian market. Dubbed as IRIS 351, it has been priced at INR 3,899. The smartphone has not been formally declared. However it is offered online from a range of outlets. This dual-SIM (GSM) smartphone is hopped-up by a 1GHz processor and 256 MB of RAM on board. The Lava IRIS 351 runs google android OS Gingerbread 2.3.
The Iris 351 sports a 3.5-inch touchscreen and also offers a 2-megapixel fixed-focus rear camera. While the inner memory is 512 MB, the user gets 110 MB. Lava Iris 351 supports memory cards of up to 16GB. It does not provide support for 3G data but will connect with the web via GPRS/Edge. The phone additionally offers FM radio and FM radio recording. Whereas the shortage of 3G connectivity may be a little bit of a downer, the phone’s basically targeting feature phone consumers, who won’t extremely care regarding the omission.
