Anti-gay bill in Arizona
The Arizona Governor, Jan Brewer faces a tense situation all because of a bill that was passed last week. According to this bill, business owners can now choose to refuse services to customers based on their sexual orientation and religion.
This has resulted in the opposition to come up with a strong voice and challenge the government. We are still waiting to see if this uproar would result in any changes in the bill that was passed by the ruling government.
Crimean tensions escalate in Ukraine
Ukraine’s southern Crimea region faces demonstrations from pro-Russians opposing the rivalry. Surprise military drills in Simferopol and the neighbouring areas are therefore under a tensed situation, with rallies and activities that has resulted in unrest among the inhabitants.
Even though local leaders are trying their best to pacify the situation, protests and demonstrations continue in front of the Crimean parliament with occasional agitations and police activities. Ukraine’s military denied any comments on the current situation.
While the Russian foreign minister declined military engagement from their end, Russian President Vladimir Putin however did engage surprise military drills in order to bring the tension under control.
Apple comes up with fixes
Though Apple has always been one of the most reliable and quality computer manufacturers, the computer manufacturer came up with some security flaws recently, which were primarily associated with devices running on iOS operating system. The devices included Macs, iPods, iPhones and iPads.
Though this came up as a big surprise to Apple fans, Apple has now fixed the bug for all the above mentioned devices. Experts believe that Apple users have not really been affected by this bug as hackers did not quite identify the bug before Apple actually announced and fixed it!
The demise of Paco de Lucia
Looking at some sad news for music lovers, we lost Paco de Lucia, one of the masters of Flamenco guitar style. The expert musician, at the age of 66 years, who was famous for playing fast flamenco rhythms with magic finger work, passed away this Wednesday in Mexico.
Paco de Lucia, whose real name was Francisco Sanchez Gomez, had played a number of music genres, along with being an expert on his famous flamenco rhythms.
John Mayer and Katy Perry break up
Looking at some more entertainment news from this week, our correspondent reported that Katy Perry and John Mayer have finally broken up. Fans would recall that Mayer did not accompany Perry on her recent Milan and London trips. Perry was even seen to return to her Los Angeles home alone on Friday.
