Thailand attracts millions of tourists on an international scale every year, with its gold beaches and amazing fiesta mood throughout the year, the place seems to be a favourite hideout for the traveller’s worldwide. But tourism in Thailand is much more than the beaches and the night-clubs, the beautiful flora and fauna, the small villages which reeks of a rich cultural heritage, the revering places and shopping and eating hubs makes up for a splendid tourism in Thailand.
Think beyond Thailand, Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket: places to visit
Bangkok in Thailand attracts the major influx of tourist followed by Pattaya, Phuket and Koh Samui, although these are popular places but not only what defines Thailand, places like Chiang Rai, which is home to the all famous Golden triangle and is bordered by Laos and Myanmar which it could be quite an explorable spot. Pai in Mae Hong Son Loop is a small yet picturesque village and those who want to experience some quite yet blissful time must visit this village on the northern part of the country.
To be closer to the nature you can explore the Khao Sok National park in the Southern part of the Thailand where beautiful and vast stretch of forests, rivers, lakes and fauna like Asian elephants, barking deer and Gibbons amongst the few provided for a splendid vacations. It is perfect holiday destination for family where kids would be more than ecstatic to sight the fauna.
If you happen to visit Bangkok then do take on a short trip to Ayutthaya which is just 80 kms away from the city and is accessible by trains bus and vans. It was once the most glorious city in the world but now only remnants of a lost and defeated kingdom.
For those who are looking for quieter time and recreational activities like scuba diving, hiking in Thailand could head to Ko Tao which is beautiful island but less exposed and developed area, so you would find the bustling crowds of Bangkok evanescing here.
Hotels in Thailand:
If you are holidaying through the tour packages then you would not want to worry about the accommodation, in most of the packages accommodation is included. But if that is not the scenario then you may book the hotels of your choice online before landing or you may check in straight away. There are various kinds of hotels in Thailand like that of beach resorts, villas, five star hotels, three star ones which would be very reasonable yet comforting.
However while looking for hotels in Thailand do keep the travelling time in factor as in the resorts or hotels should preferably not be too far from the well -connected transportation facilities which would take you around the town like the ‘tuk tuks’, trams, trains and buses. Since shopping is such a fiesta and frenzy here especially back in Bangkok that for the shopaholics convenience there are hotels in Thailand situated near the markets. So there are plenty of options stay wise, choose the best suited!
