Avoid These Wedding Invitation Mistakes

Last updated on December 14, 2015

A wedding should be one of the most sacred experiences for you and your loved ones. Your invitation should be a precursor to what your celebration will be like. Let’s go into some wedding invitation mistakes that you can avoid.

1) Forgetting crucial information. Please do not make the mistake of omitting crucial information on the invitation. Make sure to double check that you have included everything that your guests need to know. You do not want to complicate things by having to resend edited versions of your invite or try and salvage anything. Getting things right the first the time will save time, money, energy, and your image.

2) Make sure that you have included the right amount of postage on your envelopes and make sure that you have the correct addresses. There is nothing more aggravating than having mail that you send bounce back to you and then not know what to do with it. Make sure that you do not forget to put stamps on your invitations and add a stable return address.

3) Another mistake that people make is sending invitations too late. You need to realize that people have lives and plans. Giving people enough notice to plan your wedding date into their schedule is proper etiquette. If you want a proper turn out at your wedding, make sure that people are given enough notice to make plans to attend your wedding. Make sure to order enough wedding invitations. Go over your invite list a few times before you even start the printing process.

4) Get help if you need it. If you are on a tight budget do not have it in your mind that you need to do everything yourself. Getting the help you need can lower stress and having an extra set of eyes can help you make sure that mistakes and be avoided and corrected before things get out of hand. Check and double check. You should feel completely confident before you mail anything off.

5) Be tactful. Do not ask people for presents. Have some class. Let guests dictate the decision to give on their own.

6) Try not to print information on the back of the invitation. Since that practice is not common people will most likely not look on the back of the invitation. Print everything on the front in a font size and style that is legible. Printing services in the Idaho Falls area are superior. Turn to them as you seek companies to print your invitations.

7) I think the most important thing you can do is give yourself enough time to design and send out the invitations. Giving yourself enough time for a project such as this will help you avoid rushing. You do want to make mistakes. In the long run you will save a lot of time and money.

Good luck as you plan your wedding. Planning a wedding can be a daunting task but with proper time and planning it can successfully be done. Remember to ask for help if you need it. There are a lot of people who I am sure would love to be apart of the planning process of your wedding. Create as much of a stress free process as you can.
