TrackmyFone: can it be used as an employee tracking tool?

I am a strong advocate of employee tracking. In today’s world where we have so much distraction, especially in the form of social media, it is very easy for the employees to lose focus. Although many companies impose strict rules for the use of social media, some even block sites such as Facebook and YouTube on their network, the employees may continue using them on their mobile phones; we live in a world of 3G and 4Gs, after all.

Social media distraction isn’t the only reason why mobile tracking of your employees is important. Industries like delivery and transport that rely on the mobility of their employees may benefit greatly from employee tracking. Moreover, monitoring your employees also helps in ensuring their loyalty towards your organization.

A tracking app is a software that is used for the purpose of cellphone or tablet monitoring. It may be installed directly in the device or maybe configured with your personal device. However in both the cases the app is controlled remotely and remains undetectable in the target device. I have personally reviewed many tracking apps in the past, but quite recently I reviewed TrackMyFone. Now, I have heard about a lot of parents and spouses using the app but I wanted to analyze whether this app can be used for employee tracking or not. So in contrary to many other TrackMyFone reviews that you would find on the internet, this review focuses on whether this app can be used for employee tracking.

Features of TrackMyFone:

Let’s first go through the feature of TrackMyFone. The app like all the other monitoring software offer basic features such as:

  • Call log and contacts monitoring
  • Monitoring of text messages and Emails
  • Viewing internet browsing history
  • Access to multimedia files
  • GPS tracking
  • It also consists of latest features like:

  • Geofencing: This feature lets you mark locations on the target device and every time the device enters those places you are sent an alert.
  • Watchlisting words and contacts: Just like places, TrackMyFone also allows you to mark word and contacts. Whenever the words and cintacys appear in the device, you are immediately notified.
  • App viewing and blocking: You can view the content of messaging apps such as WhatsApp, Viber, Skype, Line, Kik and Facebook Messenger. You can also view other apps like Tinder, Instagram and Facebook. Moreover, you also have the option of blocking these apps.
  • Remote security: You can erase the data and lock the device remotely.
  • Compatibility, performance and pricing:

TrackMyFone is compatible with android and iOS devices. However, the prices and features are different for both the operating systems. The android app costs around is $5.82 while that of the iOS app is $8.32. The payment can be made monthly, quarterly and yearly. The company doesn’t provide a free trial but you can discontinue using it after you’ve paid for the selected time. The app is comparatively cheaper than other tracking apps in the market, keeping in mind the comprehensive set of features in offers.

Performance wise, the app does a pretty decent job. It runs smoothly and does not affect the performance of the target device. Unlike many tracking apps, TrackMyFone does not exhaust the battery of the device quickly. Overall, TrackMyfone does what if offers and gives a steady and fast performance.

    TrackMyFone for employee tracking

TrackMyFone can serve as a good employee tracking tool in my opinion. Features such as location tracking and Geofencing allow you to track the location of your employees and mark the places where they are not supposed to enter. With app blocking you can block apps like Facebook and Whatsapp to make sure that your workers are not distracted.

Other features like text messaging, Email and IM chat monitoring let you screen if any cyber bullying or harassment is taking place in your workplace.

In the end I would like to agree with all the TrackMyfone reviews that claim it to be an efficient app. I would also agree that it can be used for employee tracking.
