All the Reasons to Get a Sony Xperia Z1

Last updated on December 13, 2015

Sony couldn’t wait until next year to launch its new top model – the Xperia Z1. After introducing the Xperia Z flagship at the start of the year, here comes Sony again releasing an upgraded version with substantial improvements on many features. And it looks like Sony has succeeded in bringing all the elements to upgrade the Z1 series to a premium level.

Best Features of Sony Xperia Z1

  • The Sony Xperia Z1 is almost a clone of its predecessor, except that it’s now encased in a unibody aluminum frame with tempered glass at the sides, replacing the boring rubber material that used to house the other Zs. The latest flagship from Sony has more complete features that fit more perfectly in your hands – thanks to a bigger 3000mAh battery and camera sensor. Holding such a high-quality gadget with a beautiful design makes you a proud owner of one of the best high-end smartphones in the world today.

  • The sleek, classy Z1 is equipped with a 20.7MP camera with a large sensor. With the special lens, you can shoot at a wide angle or optically zoom at your subject up to 3X. Sony didn’t fall short in using the very same established image-processing technology in Xperia Z1, delivering excellent photographs taken in various light settings. The tiny shutter key smartly located at the lower right side of the gadget makes it easy to use. Taking well-defined pictures is possible in either autofocus or manual mode. The smartphone supports X-reality image enhancement technology that improves the quality of any photo or video to be viewed on it. Any media displayed on the Z1’s 5” 1080×1920 screen will look truly amazing provided they use the X-reality engine.

  • Another X-factor in the Z1 is its Triluminos display. With an impressive pixel density of 441 ppi, colors are remarkably vivid, clean, and without any form of pixelization. With a larger and clear audio, it makes viewing a delightful leisure. An equally amazing feature to be enjoyed is the IP 58-certified glass and metal shell making the unit resistant to water and dust– something unparalleled by any other Android flagship at the moment.

  • The Z1 also features live video feeds that can be used on Facebook. It has a Timeshift burst, a standard feature found on the new breed of smartphones, and an augmented reality (AR) effect that allows images to be overlaid in the frame. These features can be used through many free apps, but it’s also convenient to downloading them on the Z1, because you’ll never know when your next live chat may be.

  • Weighing 170g, Sony Xperia Z1 is heavier than the 130g Samsung Galaxy S4’s and the 143g LG G2’s. But this relatively heavy smartphone is a powerhouse with a built-in system of 2.2GHz quad-core processor from Qualcomm, a 2GB RAM, and 16GB of internal storage.

The phone may be fairly expensive in its initial offering. But when all the best features are combined plus the freebies in the box and an accidental damage protection scheme effective for 6 months, getting a Sony Experia Z1 is all worth it, knowing you have the most impressive smartphone in the market today.

The performance of this phone is brilliant, no doubt about it. But, the camera isn’t that great despite the 20.7 MP sensor with G Lens. I found that most of the photos shot with my Xperia Z1 suffer from decent amount of noise especially when I’m using it during the night.
