I am not an SAP professional, but my best friend just passed his SAP Certification exam. Through him and with a whole lot of research I thought of pondering the SAP Certification guidelines and method. These tips might be handy for Freshers as well as to the professionals who are already in the SAP career.
Firstly, I would like to start with
Advice for SAP Professionals-
For all those entities, by now who is working in SAP but yet not certified, I have a bit of guidance for them. The SAP professionals rely on two beliefs, first that to get into SAP profession Certification is the essential requirement, and the other think certification a total waste, a waste of money along with time. For the first belief, I would like to recommend you my blog- “few myths about SAP Certification”. It will definitely help you.
For the other one, I want to say that it’s not a waste, if you are working in SAP surrounding for more than a year now, then you can easily pass the certification. The initial requirement is your own personal interest in SAP and your familiarity with SAP scenario, business process and SAP screens. The fear of failing this exam will remain until and unless you appear for the exam. So don’t hassle, just read the manuals carefully and do a little – bit of practice on some sample question papers and obtain your certification. You have to acquire it all your own, no-one is aimed at doing it for you today or tomorrow, so why not complete it as soon as possible?
If you are wishing to get more experience and skill, then believe me, you are just getting overdue for being a certified expert. I am telling you because of my friend experience. You just need to study till yourself satisfaction and you’ll find the things at an ease. So pals, go and get ready yourself for exams.
Advice for fresher’s-
Those entities who want to indulge in SAP profession, but don’t have any experience or knowledge, things would be little difficult for you. Passing the exam is more challenging for you compared to experienced person. The fresher’s are required to study the matter with deep concept or perception understanding. Don’t just read it likes a publication or other syllabus books, give time to concentrate and put into practice each and all exercise. Consider SAP screens and transaction while studying as they are the prominent thing.
It is advisable to visit SCN forum as it will allow you to attain knowledge about real business developments. When over with the preparation, save as many sample papers and evaluate yourself. SAP exam contains the conceptual questions, so reading more and more will definitely help you.
At the time of attempting the exams-
While sitting down for exams don’t panic. Read each and all sentences carefully and understand the question completely. Many times examiner tries to confuse the apprentice by using statements like could be, should be, must be, can be etc. For some, these words may be little confusing, so before emerging in exam see the meaning well before.
Best thing about SAP Certification Exam-
Recently a change has been seen in the exam pattern. Now the question paper states how many right answers are there. For instance, if you have 5 choices and there is only 3 right then they has already revealed in question paper “please select the accurate answer. There are 3 right answers. This criterion really helped my friend a lot. He finds himself lucky to get this kind of option. If you are not sure about right options then pick out the wrong ones, it would definitely help you.
Now in the last I just would like to say that don’t study manuals in your last moment preparation as it will confuse you, solve sample papers and relax. Now don’t wait for the certification grab it as soon as possible.
These are my consideration, view and advice as per my research and best friend’s experience. If you have something more to tell then share it in the comments. Good luck to all… ☺
