World of Warcraft: Most Valuable Items in Azeroth

Azeroth’s expanse is so vast and sprawling that it’s practically impossible to lay one’s eyes on every bit of its grandeur. And just the same, there are plenty of WoW Classic items—most notably legendary ones—that many adventurers might not even get a chance to see. Their scarcity makes them valuable. As such, it makes them doubly valuable—commanding significant amounts of WoW Classic gold in the Auction House.

Here’s a quick look at some of the most valuable items you can come across in the wonderful world of Azeroth.

Thunderfury

With a kickass name such as that, it should come as no surprise that we chose it to open up this list. Of course practically everyone who has ever played World of Warcraft has heard of it—probably to the point that it almost makes them sick. The good thing is that you have the choice if you want it or not; it doesn’t just fall as random loot. Instead, you’ll need to craft it. The steep difficulty level in crafting it combined with its rarity makes it one of the most sought-after items in the game.

Enchant Weapon – Spellpower

Whereas Tunderfury needs to be crafted, this valuable WoW Classic item will practically land on your lap as it drops from a wide variety of sources. The catch, however, is that the bosses who drop it are all found inside the Molten Core. What makes it an even more daunting prospect is the fact that you’ll need a formidable party to brave them. With a drop rate of 0.2% to 0.8% on top of a 40-man parry as a prerequisite, it’s no wonder this is one of the most valuable items in WoW Classic.

Ironfoe

Another weapon with a badass name, the Ironfoe is the ultimate one-handed mace. This Epic item drops from none other than the nefarious Emperor Dragan Thaurissan in the Black Depths. But don’t let scare you too much. As long as you’ve got a decent-enough party to go along with, defeating the emperor shouldn’t prove to be too tall of an order. What makes the hunt for the Ironfoe a bit difficult are the tedious dungeons you’ll need to go through to get to the emperor—they’ll really try your patience.

The 1 Ring

Obviously a reference to the classic Tolkien books (and subsequent films), the 1 Ring is naturally something players will want to have in their inventory. It traces its roots all the way back to Vanilla. With a drop chance of 0.05% while fishing in any of the major cities, it’s instantly a valuable item worthy of inclusion in this list. Beware, though. Its stats are laughably mediocre. You’ll want it just for its collectability.

Deathcharger’s Reins

This valuable WoW Classic item should be no stranger to mount collectors. It’s a rather scarce item that drops from none other than the final boss of Stratholme, Baron Rivendare. With this item in tow, you can go the extra mile and acquire the Baron’s scary-looking skeletal warhorse known as Deathcharger. If you happen to be playing on the side of the Alliance, you’ll understand why it’s such a big deal! While its drop chance was eventually buffed up to 1% on retail, your chances of acquiring it through the WoW Classic boss is a measly 0.02%.

Teebu’s Blazing Longsword

It’s only fitting that we wrap up this list with the rarest of the rare. Teebu’s Blazing Longsword is perhaps the most coveted item to ever grace World of Warcraft. What makes it so desirable is the fact that it goes well with max level characters—most notably Hemo Rogues. What’s even better is that it drops from practically any level 60+ mobs. The downside, however, is that its drop rate is pretty much unknown. You’ll really have to just throw up a prayer and wish for the best to get your hands on this.

And that wraps up our list of the most valuable WoW Classic Items. Keep your eyes peeled and hope for the best. May you pick them up as you journey through Azeroth!
