Grocery, apparel, fashion accessories is passe, now you can buy bikes and cars online Shopping. Yes, that’s possible now it has been made possible by India’s one of the leading online shopping portal Flipkart.
Just recently, we saw Snapdeal entering the automobile market by selling motor vehicles online offering ‘integrated buying experience. Under this scheme, customers will get their vehicle loans approved in flat two minutes of making the purchase.
To start with, Snapdeal is letting users book 2-wheelers from Suzuki and Hero and Piaggio commercial vehicles online. Apart from bikes the leading shopping brand also lists yachts.
Giving competition to the rival, Flipkart has also started listing bikes and cars on its portal. But the service is only available in Bengaluru in the initial stage. Gradually, it will be taken to other cities as well. The company has partnered with two dealers for selling automobiles online. E-commerce companies are expanding with every passing day. Market research helps them in adding up new categories. So much so that unconventional categories like bikes and cars is also topping the list of online shopping carts.
While talking to a leading daily, Anil Goteti, VP Business at Flipkart, said, “There is a paradigm shift in the way people shop online today, with more and more unconventional categories like automobiles and auto accessories, small home appliances, personal care and jewellery gaining popularity.”

Following this trend, Flipkart is now ready to expand this category and add automobiles under the umbrella. The automobile categories have been added after doing all the calculations right. But it still has to be seen how popular these categories be online. To make the shopping experience more satisfying, Flipkart is offering coupons that can be redeemed while checking out from the cart.
Flipkart coupons and deals are available on all the discount coupon websites. You can choose the products and apply the coupon codes to get the discount offered. You will see that your bill is much less what you expected.
