Swachh Bharat Initiative
Swatch Bharat initiative is one of the biggest achievement of BJP government. When swatch Bharat initiative was announced by Narendra Modi, A lot of people laughed and state that this government is giving so much importance to such a small issue. However Swatch Bharat initiative is a success and in the last two years, biggest cities of India have started to realize the importance of cleanliness. All the public places like railway stations and bus stations are now more cleaner and general public is also involved to make India clean.
GST
Goods and service tax, this is the biggest tax revolution since the independence has now finally approved and implemented. Government made sure that new reform doesn’t unfavorable to people by keeping tax bracket sensible. A report on GST shows that most of the items will become cheaper now and that again established peoples trust in the intension of the government.
Focus on rural India
Pradhan Mantri Ujwala Yojna has been one of the most appreciated schemes by the current government. Central government involved the common people by asking them to give up their subsidies so that the government can help rural women with access to clean energy and this movement was widely appreciated.Also, schemes like Krishi Sinchai Yojna, Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojna, and Sukanya Samridhi Yojna have been directly focused for the rural population to increase their standard of life.
Now government also announced that they will electrify all Indian villages, but is no small task considering there were over 18000 villages are without electricity before Modi became the prime minister.
Ayushman Bharat scheme
Though it is still to be seen how the scheme gets implemented across the country, this could prove to be one of the biggest schemes launched by any government in India. Under this, over 10 crore families and 50 crore citizens across the country will be eligible to get medical insurance worth 5 lakh (per family/yearly). This will subsume existing health insurance scheme, known as Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana (RSBY), launched in 2008 by the UPA government under Manmohan Singh.
Tough stance on critical issues
BJP has taken tough actions against critical issues and now politics of appeasing seems to get over. After initiative taken by the government to abolish triple talaq sysemt, Supreme Court has declared that triple talaq is unconstitutional and asked the current government to bring this law as soon as possible. After this most of muslim women coming in open support of BJP government. This new reform proves that taking these decisions need guts and BJP government under guidance of modi has enough.
